Language Booster Program

June 7th - July 1st      Mon - Thurs   8:30 -12:00pm

This program is designed to meet the needs of children with speech and language delays through active language based activities with a strong emphasis on social skills (pragmatics) throughout the day, including circle time, centers, games, snack time,  recess and more!  Meredith Hibbetts, M.A. CCC-SLP, our speech and language pathologist will lead the classes.

Social Skills 101

June 7th  - July 1st          Mon - Thurs  1:30 - 3:30pm

Give your child the benefit of extra practice making friends and meeting new people this summer at The Joy School! This program is designed to give children an opportunity to learn and develop appropriate social skills in a small group setting. Classes will focus on initiating conversations, keeping conversations going, social problem solving, turn-taking, game playing, perspective taking, and much more. This 5-week course will be directed by our two Speech-Language Pathologists, Meredith Hibbetts and Beth Harris, and will meet from 1:00-3:00 PM Monday-Thursday. See you this summer!

Skill Builders Summer Program

June 7th - 25th and June 28th - July 16th        Mon - Fri   8:30 - 3:00pm

Students may sign up for one or both sessions.

Our remedial program will focus on addressing the most common areas of difficulty for students with learning differences by providing direct, systematic instruction for students in small groups.  Each day will allow for all students to participate in activities and programs specifically designed for addressing deficits in the following areas:  Reading, Math, Writing, Handwriting/Keyboarding, & Spatial Awareness.
