Development

Where there is learning, there is Joy!

In a collaborative effort, the School administration and faculty partner with its community of parents, alumni, board of trustees, grandparents and business leaders to provide a safe, supportive, and innovative environment for its students.  The support from our community is seen in many ways: volunteering for the School, giving charitable gifts to the School, and promoting the School both inside and outside of the School’s community.  Together, these activities advance the excellence of The Joy School.

The Joy School Annual Fund and the Annual Luncheon serve as the fundraising vehicles  through which our community may demonstrate its support of the School.  This support enhances our academic programs, learning environment and facilities.

   The mission of the Development Office is to:

• Build and maintain relationships with alumni and friends through special events, the School newsletter, KeyNotes, and fundraising;
• Raise community awareness of the mission and successes of The Joy School;
• Support the School’s strategic plan developed by the Board of Trustees; and
• Collaborate with the administration, faculty, staff, Board of Trustees, and an array of dedicated parent volunteers who support the work of The Joy School.

When one gives to a Joy School education, he or she give one of life’s most enduring gifts – the gift of knowledge. The School expresses its sincere appreciation to all the parents, alumni and friends who do so much to support its mission in educating children with various learning differences.  Thank you!
