Our Mission
The Joy School
prepares students with learning differences
to return to traditional classroom settings
by enabling them to reach their academic and social potential
in a safe, supportive environment.
Our Admission Team has the unique privilege of supporting families in understanding their child’s unique learning profile. We hope that when you leave The Joy School admissions process, you will have a better understanding of your child, their learning difference, and have a plan for a path forward. At The Joy School, you and your child will be supported, heard, and seen.
Many families have been told that their child has been diagnosed with a learning difference, but beyond being given the name of the diagnosis, the family was not given additional information on what the diagnosis means or what to do next. This is likely a frustrating and confusing time. Our hope is that in the weeks and months to come, you get the answers and support you need.
The best way to really understand our school is to come to one of our scheduled parent tours. During tours, we make every effort to answer all your questions and leave you with a strong indication of whether or not The Joy School is the right place for your child. If you have questions prior to attending one of our tours, please feel free to contact our admissions office anytime by phone or email.
