The best way to learn about The Joy School and the first required step in the admissions process is to attend a parent tour.  All parent tours are group tours and are for adults only.  Signing up for a parent tour is also how you will gain access to our online application.

When you sign up for a parent tour, you will receive an email that contains information on how to access our online admissions application.  

All required information and documentation is submitted via our online portal.

The Joy School accepts applications year-round. 

The majority of applications for the following school year are received from November through April. 

After reviewing a child’s completed admissions file, a student interview will be scheduled if an existing opening may match your child’s profile.    

Interviews consist of informal assessment to get a general picture of how each child performs academic tasks.  It is also an opportunity to informally assess a child’s attitude toward school and awareness of their needs.

Following a successful student interview, students are invited to spend an entire school day in our classrooms. On these days, students are expected to participate in all activities to the best of their abilities. Classroom visits give us an opportunity to observe the child in social as well as academic group settings.

If at any point during the admissions process, we discover that we are not equipped to support your child, we will contact you. 

Most enrollment offers are made by late March. However, applications are processed until all spaces are filled, which may be anytime during the year.
