Student Spotlight:

Even With Learning Differences, You Can Still Become a Boss

BY LAURA SPAULDING, Staff Writer/Consultant

At the ripe old age of 13, one Joy School 8th grader has published her very first magazine article in West University Buzz Magazine. In her article, Dylan shares how, despite her learning differences, she confidently started a hair tinsel business over the summer. Her business has continued to grow through her social media presence and the help of all her happy customers.

While we are thrilled to celebrate Dylan’s sparkling entrepreneurial and literary accomplishments, we are most proud of her willingness to confidently share both her struggles and successes with the world. What a wonderful reminder for us all that learning differences do not define a person or determine what someone is capable of accomplishing. Or in Dylan’s own words “even with learning differences, you can still become a boss.” Shine on Dylan!
