Lower School Summer Programs
Our Summer Programs are now full!
Our students find the JOY in learning through direct, purposeful instruction in a safe, supportive environment with peers who share similar needs.
Students learn to celebrate their areas of strength while gaining skills and strategies to support their areas of weakness. They return to their schools with a renewed sense of confidence and a stronger understanding of themselves as learners.
Please register for a parent tour to find out more information about The Joy School and our program offerings during the regular school year.
Academic and Social Programs
*The Joy School will be closed on Monday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth.
This academic remediation program addresses the most common areas of difficulty for students with learning differences: reading, writing, spelling, math, handwriting and keyboarding. These students will attend art and PE weekly.
This program is designed to give children an opportunity to learn and develop appropriate social cognitive and executive functioning skills in a small group setting. Students are grouped by age, grade level and their abilities. Classes will focus on conversational turn-taking, social problem solving, perspective taking, empathy and much more.
This class is taught by our Speech-Language Pathologists.
